How to access the online services of the Revenue Agency
As of 1 March 2021, in line with the provisions of the Simplification and Digital Innovation Decree (Italian Decree-Law no. 76/2020), the Revenue Agency will no longer issue new Fisconline credentials to regular citizens. However, the Fisconline credentials already held by users that are in use will remain valid until discontinued on 30 September 2021.
From 1 March 2021, therefore, those who do not have Fisconline credentials will be able to access the reserved area of the Agency's online services using only one of the three universal authentication methods, SPID, CIE or CNS, recognised to access the online services of all public administrations.
Nothing changes, however, for professionals and businesses.
Access for individuals
Users in possession of Fisconline credentials, provided by the Agency (tax code, password and PIN) on 1 March 2021, may continue to use them to access online services and it will still be possible to renew expired passwords. New credentials will no longer be issued, while those already in use will be valid until 30 September 2021.
From 1 October 2021, therefore, the Fisconline credentials will no longer be active and it will be necessary to log in with one of the three following tools:
- SPID - Public Digital Identity System di (find out how to obtain SPID credentials)
- CIE - Electronic Identity Card (find out how to use the CIE to access the reserved area of the Revenue Agency online services)
- CNS - National Services Card.
For those who already have access via SPID, CIE or CNS, nothing changes. Those who do not have one of these three instruments will have to acquire one.
Attention: Fisconline users are invited to keep their contact details updated in the authenticated area, in order to receive timely communications from the Agency during the transitional phase.
Access for professionals and businesses
Professionals and businesses in possession of Entratel, Fisconline and Sister credentials, issued by the Agency, will be able to continue using them after 1 March and until a date to be established by a specific implementing decree, as provided for in the Digital Administration Code.
Natural persons must identify themselves before they can work for the companies and/or entities for which they have been authorised. From 1 October 2021, they will only be able to do so with SPID or CIE or CNS, unless they have a VAT number.
Requesting a PIN
To use some functions of the software products, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Agency's website, you need a PIN code. Those who identify themselves with SPID, CIE or CNS can still request their PIN code in the reserved area.
